Fresh Grease Riders Finish Fast at Sturdy Dirty Enduro

In a breakout weekend, Team Fresh Grease Racing had a blast and finished fast in the Sturdy Dirty Women’s Enduro Race at Raging River State Forrest in Snoqualmie, WA. 🥇🥇

Melissa Bowe ignited her enduro racing career with a 1st place finish in the Expert category. Emma Saarel took 1st in the Lite category in her first season of racing, her second year mountain biking. Sophie Kinkle flew in for the race and landed 7th in Expert, and our very own Sarah Vaughn (Fresh Grease UI/ UX Designer) finished mid-pack in Expert and flexed her tricycle riding skills for bragging rights. Congratulations to all the Sturdy racers!

The Sturdy Dirty Enduro is a fun, intimidation-free racing experience hosted by Sturdy B*tch Racing. The stoke at the event is fueled by awesome volunteers, organizers, sponsors, and spectators who unequivocally put on the most fun race weekend of the season.

This years’ course featured the full spectrum of trails available at Evergreen-built Raging River including the steep and fast “Canyon Creek Downhill”, technically challenging “Physical Therapy”, and flowy “Poppin’ Tops” trails. In addition to racing down some of the best trails in western Washington, the course also featured a head-to-head tricycle sprint that proved to be a surprisingly challenging and entertaining highlight.

Team Fresh Grease Racing will conclude their 2021 season this weekend at the Cascadia Dirt Cup Post Canyon Enduro in Hood River, OR.
